ECS Account

• Your ECS account will allow you to login to any ECS domain computers that maybe in private research labs or offices.
• Your ECS account will allow you to use ECS Unix computers in various ECS Unix and Macintosh computer clusters
• Your ECS login is the same as your ITS NetID, the passwords maybe set differently.
  • Create an ECS account: https://web.ecs.syr.edu/cgi-bin/usercreate
  •         Enter your SU ID# and press the "Submit Request" command button
  •         Verify that the information displayed in the next screen is for you.
  •         If correct, select the FINISH button and complete the process.
  •         If the information displayed is NOT correct or is NOT yours, please contact the CIT Support
            Group in Link 204! (Do Not complete this process)
  •         Your account information will be emailed to your MyMail account within 24 hours.
  • If you have any difficulty please bring your SU ID to Link 204 for assistance.      

ITS Account

• Your ITS account login is your NetID, your ITS account password is your NetID password.
• Your ITS account is used for MySlice, Blackboard, MyMail, ITS public cluster login, and other campus wide systems.
• ECS windows computer clusters have switched over to the campus wide AD network, you use your ITS account and password to login.
